Gomora actress Sannah Mchu (Zodwa) praised for her acting skills

Gomora star Sannah Mchunu won the hearts of viewers with her role as Zodwa on Mzansi Magic’s Gomora, and she has successfully kept viewers on the edge of their collective seats with her amazing acting chops.

Sannah has received numerous applauses for her character and how well she portrays it. Every emotional scene she gives it her all and brings it to life. Avid viewers of the show have taken to social media to give her much deserved flowers for her exceptional acting skills.

Viewers can’t get enough of her acting talent and they feel like she is carrying the show on her back. Currently, Gomora is full of plot twists here and there, but the fact that she is killing her role does not go unnoticed. Viewers want her to smell her roses while she is alive. .

Gomora recently lost one of its talented and young actors Siyabonga Zubane who played Sdumo. The actor died on 1 May at his rental home in Soweto. Connie Chiume who also stars in Gomora, took to her Instagram account to express her heartbreak at Siyabonga’s untimely passing, “Oh my son kanti yini mara heh? What is happening to our children?” she said.

She continued “Siya, I have no words…. Rest In Peace rising Icon, you left your mark, you will always be remembered! You were a true fighter, and a go getter! A true rising icon indeed,” she wrote.

The show has also introduced new faces lately. Fezile Makhanya has joined the show as Nkosinathi Cele, Moshe Ndiki plays Andile Faku, a high school teacher. Zolisa Xaluva recently left the show and according to reports he was not seeing eye-to-eye with the showrunners.

It was reported by TshisaLIVE that the actor hinted at a potential comeback. He said that his current project made it difficult to accomplish two things at once. He said are looking forward to the possibility of his return, as he admitted that mistakes were made in the writing process.

“We decided to put a reset button on the character. Melusi drifted from being an upstanding member of society and became a philanderer. Writing mistakes were made, like the character development was inconsistent with the principles and gains acquired in season 1.

“The story of his imprisonment is a chance at redemption. The departure has been amiable and we all look forward to the possibility of a return,” he told the publication.

The local entertainment director of M-Net, Shirley Adonisi, confirmed Xaluva’s departure and expressed her gratitude to him for his contribution to the success of the show.

“In season 3 the major story plot is centred around Sonto’s devastation as she is forced to watch Thati becoming the worst version of herself. The new season promises to be riveting, as viewers expect with Mzansi Magic productions. Mzansi Magic would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Zoliswa Xaluva for his contribution to the success of Gomora season 1 and 2 by bringing the Melusi character to life. We are also in awe of Buyile Mdladla’s sterling performance as Phumlani in season 2. We look forward to working with Zoliswa and Buyile in the future.”
