The Law is the law, if you are wrong you wrong as they say no one is above the law! Former Uzalo top actor and chick magnet Nay Maps has found himself on the wrong side of the law.
The popular actor recently found out that he is not above the law. Nay Maps, who now acts as Dingane Khoza on Mzansi Magic’s The Queen, was arrested for breaking the law.
Rumour has it Nay Maps thought he was Hamilton Lewis whole cruising in his Mercedes Benz and hit the accelerator hard on a public road in Wierdabrug, outside Tshwane.
The long arm of the law caught up with the reckless driver and now he is facing criminal charges for reckless and negligent driving.
An official police document and speed trap images confirmed that that Nay map was doing 182km/hr in a 100km/hr zone.
“The complainant station at Koedoespoort regional office was officially on duty in full uniform when he was posted with a moving violation recorder in combination with digital eye witness camera when he spotted a black Mercedes-Benz C class vehicle which was using temporary permit (number withheld”, read the statement posted by Daily Sun.
“He managed to stop the vehicle and the driver introduced himself as Nkosinathi Emmanuel Maphalala with (ID number withheld) in possession of driver’s license code B.”
“He was driving at 182km/hr in a 100km/hr. He was then arrested for negligent and reckless driving”.
Nay Maps managed to post bail after being briefly detained at Wierdabrug Police Station.
Police Spokesperson Kay Makhubele confirmed that Nay Maps was arrested and charged with reckless and negligent driving.
Nay Maps shot to fame with his role in Uzalo and left after he landed a role in The Queen. A move that did not sit down well with his fans.
