Ms Cosmo told SunBuzz: “Bhuti is a rendition of Andile’s hit song Abuti Yo. I decided to sample it because I wanted to bring back old-school music but at the same time, make sure that it was modern.
“I added an amapiano bassline to make it new school.
“Bhuti is a fun song! When I was working on it, Boity and Moonchild came to mind because I needed for the song to be light-hearted.”
Ms Cosmo said working on the single was amazing.
“Working on the song was a walk in the park.
“It was very seamless because Boity and Moonchild understood the vibe we were trying to achieve,” she said.
“We got along so well and the chemistry was amazing, which is one of the reasons why I find it very easy to work with women.
“They are very professional and always get the job done.”
The 32-year-old said she was currently not working on an album, but was planning to release a lot of music later in the year.
“Last year was very difficult for me. This one is starting to look like the ugly cousin coming to visit, but I’m very hopeful that things will get better.

She said that last year showed her just how adaptive she could be.
“Last year taught me a lot about myself.
“I realised that I’m stronger than I thought. I h ave learnt that I’m a lot more resilient, and can be adaptive to change as we all had to adapt to a new normal.”
