Actress and radio host Motsoaledi Setumo who soared to fame for her role in The Queen celebrates turning 30 today.
We first met the gorgeous actress when she bagged a role on Mzansi Magic’s Greed & Desire. Today, she has undoubtedly become one of our favorite personalities. Famously known to many as Mo Setumo her fame continues to rise, but the beauty has also been involved in a couple of scandals.
Motsoaledi Setumo’s sultry s.e.x scenes cause uproar
The sexy actress Motsoaledi Setumo who played the role of the sexy Thabi Cele on Generations: The Legacy, left the soapie for good apparently after viewers complained about her steamy and raunchy s.e.x scenes with on-screen lover Smanga.
Mo expressed that she always gave every single scene her best at all times. She also said she understood where the viewers came from when they protested, but also added that they need to understand that it’s all just role play.
‘’I understand where they’re coming from especially in the black community, I too was raised by a strong black woman and can relate’’ she said.
Motsoaledi’s witchcraft claims
It seems like they got it all wrong, or did they?
In 2018, Motsoaledi was apparently on the receiving end of what many thought to be a spell. According to an article published by Sunday World, Motsoaledi fled her home after she found her car covered in what looked like blood.
Someone even suggested to the paper that Motsoaledi was frightened because she thought that people who are jealous of her were allegedly trying to kill her.
Mo then had an interview on radio where she set the record straight.
Motsoaledi and co-host “LTK” rivalry
Just four months after being on the afternoon drive show on Motsweding FM, Mo Setumo left owing to the tension between her and co-host Lucky “LTK” Komanisi.
When asked about her leaving the show so soon, she had this to say:
“I don’t know what to say because we didn’t know each other on a personal level or anything like that. I don’t know why but we just didn’t gel as a team. I’m not the first person to leave the show – I’m the third – that tells you a lot about this person we are working with.”
Mo Setumo opens up about depression
We often think that celebrities have perfect lives but underneath it all lies a struggle most people can relate to. Some of our local celebrities have been open about their mental health struggles; from attempted suicides to anxiety attacks and depression.
This has helped go a long way towards ending the stigma that continually surrounds mental illness. Mo Setumo also opened up about her experience and how she thought she would never heal.
