Inside Minnie Dlamini’s beautiful second Baby Shower – Pictures
Minnie Dlamini has been plagued by pregnancy rumours since she go married with fans following her every move trying to see if she is pregnant or not. Minnie often laughed off the rumours, and once told a Twitter user she was “just fat”.
“Let’s trust in God’s timing for the arrival of my offspring 🙏🏾 We also need to be cognizant of how insensitive it is to speculate about pregnancy. You don’t know my journey or what I’ve been through or go through. Let’s just think before we tweet please,” she tweeted in 2019.
Well fast forward a year later, she is now pregnant and enjoying it along with the perks that come with it. Last week she had her first shower with her loved ones. This past weekend her besties also decided to celebrate her again with a second baby shower.

South Africa’s favorite diamond broke news of her pregnancy with a traditional dress photoshoot. The star’s first maternity image is an ode to her African roots with Minnie dressed in a statement mermaid, boob-tube dress by popular wedding dress designer, Asanda Madyibi. This is the same designer that dressed her for her traditional wedding to Quinton Jones.
She announced on her husband’s birthday.
“Starting a family with you Mr Jones is a dream come true and I couldn’t have chosen a better man to be the father of our child. Our family has suffered such a painful loss however, God has proven to us that with death, comes new life and we welcome this miracle wholeheartedly 🙏🏾 Happy Birthday my love we’re having a baby 🎉🎉🎉 Best Bday present ever, I know lol😂”
The star spoke about the process behind announcing her pregnancy, adding that she might have revealed her the baby’s gender.
“I had so many ideas of how I wanted to reveal my pregnancy and as usual I was looking for something that hadn’t be done before. In the attempt to pay respect to my culture, I did some research on how a Zulu pregnant woman looked like back in the day. Our culture is so rich with amazing clothing, patterns, colors and designs, all of which have symbolic meaning. For example the hat a woman wears symbolizes that she is a married woman. The clothes she wears symbolizes whether she is a girl, a woman, a wife, or a mother to be. The patterns on a maternity apron determine many things, among which is the sex of the baby,” she winked.
