Metro FM awards return this year

Metro FM awards return this year, and the official date for the annual event will be announced this month. Zimoja reports that the organisers plan to make the event bigger this year at the City Of Mbombela in Mpumalanga.
The SABC is set to announce the final date for the awards on 18 January 2024 back at Mbombela.

In 2023, the late rapper Kiernan “AKA” Fobes walked off with Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration Song, Best Hip-Hop Artist and Best Male Artist categories.

While rapperNtokozo “K.O” Mdluli received seven nominations and no wins from his hometown. The awards sparked controversy last year, but it promises to get better in 2024.
