Musician Elaine is gearing up to release new music.
The talented singer, who inked a deal with Columbia Records last year, recently shared a snippet of her song If I Could and it got everyone excited.
In the 45-second clip, which has been widely circulated on social media, Elaine can be heard singing along to the song that many people speculated to have been featuring award-winning rapper, Drake and Sampha.
At the time of sealing the deal the singer, who’s real name is Ndivhuwo Mukheli, said she was excited about her new chapter and would continue telling stories through music.
“I’ve got a completely different story to tell. I’m a representation of every African girl who doesn’t want to be boxed in,” she said.
She joined a long list of local artists who had signed with international labels.
The deal means she’ll be under the same label as international superstars Beyonce, Adele and John Legend.
In 2020 Elaine because a household name, her EP, Elements, made her the most streamed artist on Spotify in Mzansi.
She also broke boundaries through her music and became the first independent female artist to reach number one on Apple Music’s chart for Sub-Saharan Africa.
