Ntombezinhle Jiyane, also known as DJ Zinhle, took to Instagram to share a photo of her “baby daddy” rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes (AKA) and his girlfriend rapper Nadia Nakai.
This comes after AKA was shot dead on Friday night outside Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban. In honour of AKA, DJ Zinhle shared photos of AKA with their daughter Kairo Forbes. She also shared a photo of AKA with his girlfriend, Nadia Nakai.
The South African reported that AKA was killed ‘execution style’ when gunmen opened fire on him and Motsoane at the restaurant. AKA’s former manager, Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane was also shot.
Information at police’s disposal at this stage indicates that the men were walking towards their vehicle from a restaurant when they were allegedly approached by two armed suspects who walked to them from across the street and shot the victims at close range. The suspects are reported to have fled from the scene on foot,” said Neshiunda. CCTV footage of the rapper and his friend also emerged on Saturday and has been widely shared on social media.
In the video, AKA is seen exiting Wish restaurant on Florida Road while seemingly saying goodbye to his friends, including Tebello Tibz Motsoane.
Before an unknown man walks up to the hitmaker and shoots him in the back of the head, AKA and Tibz embrace. The rapper collapses to the ground in a pool of blood. Tibz also collapses to the ground, apparently injured in the crossfire. Following the shooting, AKA’s friends disperse as well. The gunman, who appeared to be accompanied by another, fled on foot.
